'Silver Fox' entered service in 1935 in a striking silver-grey livery. At first it was used mainly on the 'Silver Jubilee' London–Newcastle express and in 1936 reached a then-record 113mph with passengers in tow.
This beautiful model from Golden Age features all-brass construction and has been fitted with DCC sound and smoke. Weathered professionally in-house, it is numbered and decorated to portray the engine in 1950s BR condition.
