Along with their Class 44 and Class 46 siblings, the class 45s were one of BR's heaviest and most imposing locomotives. Generally to be found working cross-country routes from the North East to the South West they also dominated the Midland main line for almost 20 years. This example shows the type in early 1960's livery with a medium weathered finish. It is an excellent runner with the usual Heljan features.
