Heljan Finescale O Gauge Class 52 'Western' No.1003 'Western Pioneer', BR Green

1 item left

'Western Pioneer' was the fourth of the large hydraulic diesels to appear from Swindon in 1962. To service at Plymouth Laira it was only to last 13 years in service but the excellent model from Heljan - their reference 52801 - faithfully captures the lines of these much missed locos. The loco externally is in near mint condition but mechanically has been altered as per the notes below.

Condition Description

The model has been used but is externally in near mint condition. However, one of the motors has been removed along with the appropriate gearing and the bogie is now free-wheeling and unpowered. The loco is capable of moving lighter trains or would be ideal for a shed-style layout. Note also slight damage to a lamp bracket at one end.
