Active for some 15 years on the Western region D1047 'Western Lord' was not one of the fortunate ones to escape the cutter's torch and met its end at Swindon Works in 1947. Heljan's model does however capture the poise and grandeur of these fine diesel-hydraulic locos and this particular one is in excellent overall condition and a smooth runner.
