1 item left

The GCR built these locomotives as 8Bs for express passenger workings due to the increase in demand for capacity on its mainlines. Nicknamed 'Jersey Lillies' the class was introduced in 1903 and built between North British, Gorton and Beyer-Peacock Locomotive Works. A total of 27 were built and were sadly all withdrawn and scrapped between 1939-50 with them fastly becoming underpowered after the 1923 grouping.
