Built between 1920-1937, Gresley's K3s served until 1962 on the Eastern Region and were mixed traffic engines. No. 1842 was built in 1925 at Darlington Works, and spent many years at Immingham Shed, eventually ending her career at Woodford Halse. Unfortunately no K3's have been preserved.

The model in excellent overall condition but with a slight bend to the running plate towards the front, possibly from not being built perfectly square. There are one or two minor chips to the paint finish.
