Kit-built Finescale O Gauge K&ESR Hawthorn Leslie 2-4-0T 'Northiam' No. 2

Notify me when this product is available:

‘Northiam’ was delivered to the Kent & East Sussex Railway in 1899. She later worked on the East Kent Railway from 1912 to 1914, before moving in 1918 to the Weston, Clevedon and Portishead Railway, where she remained in service until 1921.

Her last recorded day in operation was in August 1938, and she was unfortunately scrapped in 1941, along with her sister.

Northiam also earned a place in film history, portraying Gladstone in the classic 1937 comedy Oh, Mr Porter! — her brief but memorable moment on the silver screen.
