Kit-built Finescale O Gauge LNER Coronation 9 Car Set

1 item left

Introduced in 1937, The Coronation carried on the progress in luxury travel from The Silver Jubilee. Running between Kings Cross and Edinburgh the train featured two tone garter blue and a lighter marlborough blue reflecting the colours of the coronation of King George VI.  Featuring a beaver tail observation car the train set new standards in railway travel. Sadly the train was short lived due to the outbreak of the Second World War. Two vehicles survive in preservation, one in original beaver tail condition and one in rebuilt BR format.
