A product of Doncaster works in 1924 J50 No.3238 was very much a Leeds area engine for most of its life, starting off at Copley Hill shed where it would have performed pilot duties around the station and local trip work. The model as depicted here, from a Connoisseur kit, shows the engine in the livery it would have carried through the 1920's and 30's.
