1 item left

Introduced in 1935, taking inspiration from the streamlined Fliegender Hamburger service in Germany, the LNER introduced this train for speed and comfort. Being completely new, the train echoed a new era for speed running between Kings Cross and Newcastle, hauled by the then completely new A4 class locomotives. The train also set a new speed record of 112 MPH and attained an average speed of 67 MPH during its journey.
