KM1 Models are renowned for their craftsmanship in producing small batches of exquisitely detailed models that feature brass and stainless steel construction. In near mint condition, this German Railways Class BR290 (no. 290 053-8, item no. 109002) is fitted with KM1's sound and smoke system, for thunderous 'beats' and a spot of old-fashioned 'clag'.
The main batch of Deutsche Bahn's Class BR290 locomotives entered service in 1974 and with a top speed of 80km/h were used across the country on freight and heavy shunting duties. Many survive today, having been re-engined with modern power units.
