The GWR introduced its stylish diesel railcars from 1933. Initial class members featured elegant streamlined bodywork, but this was later abandoned (from no. 19) in favour of a more angular design. These later railcars also featured steam heating, both for themselves and any trailing vehicles attached.
Heljan's model (item no. 1901) depicts no. 29, which is finished in chocolate and cream livery and features a smooth and powerful mechanism. The model has been further enhanced with DCC sound, fitted by Tower Models and using a LokSound V5 decoder.
