Thompson's B1s were a successful mixed-traffic design; they service in 1942 and spread to all corners of the LNER network. No. 61299 was constructed in 1948 by The North British Locomotive Company. Allocated to Leicester (GCR) and Colwick sheds, she served until 1965 and was scrapped later that year.
This beautiful model (from a Piercy kit) features the maker's signature heavy cast construction and excellent lining.
