An original Welsh Highland Railway locomotive, 'Russell' was built in 1906 to haul services along said line. With a long service history, 'Russell' has enjoyed multiple owners and even found fame as 'Fearless Freddie' in the Thomas the Tank series. Today 'Russell' can be found hauling trains at the Welsh Highland and Ffestiniog Railways.
This Roundhouse model (a MK1 Russell) has been professionally upgraded with custom lining, working cylinder drain cocks and a working RC controlled whistle, fitted by JBM Services.
