This 'Bubblecar' from Dapol (item. no. 7D-009-001) captures the character of the prototype with excellent internal and external detail. It is, however, from the initial batch of these models that suffered from drivetrain issues and whilst the overall running quality is good, it is prone to low-speed judder. It also suffers from cosmetic issues that would benefit from restoration (see below).
Please note that items sold via The Workshop are not covered by our usual warranty and are intended as project pieces requiring maintenance and/or rectification.

Condition Description |
The model is in overall excellent condition but a previous owner had fitted large nameboards across the front of each end above the buffers. The removal of these has caused damage to the paintwork at one end and has left glue marks at the other, plus a repair to the exhaust pipe. Buffers at both ends have been glued in a fixed position. Destination blinds displaying 'SPECIAL' have been fitted. A largely complete list of destinations (as supplied by Dapol) is included. The box is complete but is missing the display plinth; additional packing has been added. |
