The Type 5 'Deltic', later Class 55, revolutionised rail services on the East Coast Main Line when introduced in the early 1960's, and the class remains popular today in preservation. Heljan's model (item no. 3580) perfectly captures the power and poise of these fine machines but in common with many such models from this earlier batch suffers from split gears.
Please note that items sold via The Workshop are not covered by our usual warranty and are intended as project pieces requiring maintenance and/or rectification.
