WORKSHOP Finescale O Gauge (Kit/Scratch-Built) ex-LNER A3 'Prince Palatine' No. 60052 BR Green Late Crest

1 item left

Whilst the legend of the prototype needs little introduction, this kit/scratch-built model of sister locomotive 'Prince Palatine' is in excellent condition. Built in 1924 at Doncaster Works, the locomotive had originally been destined for the GNR but entered service with the LNER post-Grouping. Sadly – and like all but one of her classmates – the locomotive was withdrawn and scrapped in 1966 at St Margaret's Shed, Edinburgh.

The model has a gloss effect paint finish, executed to a high standard in a rich tone of brunswick green. Some of the lining is slightly worn. There are some missing footstep sections at the front end and by the cab. There are one or two minor chips to the paint finish, and one of the front bogie wheels does not contact the track when running.
