Built as a two cylinder version of his three cylinder 2-6-4T the Stanier 4P were a 206 strong class of locomotive. Originally built for suburban passenger trains, the class quickly found themselves working other mixed traffic duties with BR classifying them as 4MT. Sadly none of this type have been preserved with the last being withdrawn in 1967.

The model is fitted with insulated cast wheels, one of which appears to be shorting (through broken insulation?). essentially the wheelset will need removing and replacing |
