Newsletter No. 17

Good evening,

Allot has happened since I last wrote this newsletter and it would be pointless for me to start another newsletter with how busy things have been lately, as this seems to have been the ongoing trend for the past year and can only be put down to the thriving market of model railways.

What's new then?
Well, with Guildex opening it's doors at Telford Exhibition Centre this weekend, a huge amount of effort from both myself and Paddy has gone into preparing stock, loco boxes, Darstaed Bogie Tankers and most recently, Darstaed Well Wagons.

If you are an avid reader of the Gauge O Guild forums, or a regular visitor of my website then you will have noticed that the new Darstaed Well Wagons are now in stock and available for purchase. The comments have been tremendous and I myself could not be more pleased with the way they have turned out.

These superb wagons mark the start of many finescale items to come from the firm, with the first batch of Mk1 coaches due in towards the end of September, and a choc & cream sample available to view on our stand at Telford.

We will of course have the usual set-up with plenty of locos, coaches, wagons and the ever popular rummage boxes!

Further-more, if anyone would like me to bring any items which you have seen for sale on the website, then please let me know (we have a little too much stock in the office to bring it all!)

For those OO customers of mine out there, you'll be happy to know that the increase in eBay added items will not cease. I'm off on my jollies on Monday for a week, but I have left Paddy around 50 mint/boxed items to be cracking on with! These are a mixture of modern image and BR late steam/early diesels and should be up for sale on our eBay site (which is currently being overhauled) around Thursday/Friday of next week.

For those who haven't been to Telford before, I cannot recommend it enough. I visited for the first time 4 years ago, and I have been back as both a punter and trader, and thoroughly enjoyed it every time. I feel it is one of those special exhibitions - there always seems to be a 'buzz' in the air, with so many product announcements, great trade displays, exceptionally detailed layouts all housed within a superb modern exhibition centre.

I'm looking forward to meeting plenty of new faces this year, delivering models and showing off the new Darstaed range, along with catching up with plenty of familiar folk.

I hope as many as possible can make it and become a regular like myself!

All the best,
Ellis,
