We’ve done it again. While there’s a constant influx of amazing pre-owned models to the ECT shed, once in a while we welcome a collection that leaves eyebrows locked in the raised position and jaws firmly on the floor. This week’s wonders include a large consignment of masterfully built, professionally decorated Southern region engines – many of which are weathered and feature working inside motion.

From Spam Cans to Coffee Pots, there’s an engine for all duties in this fantastic lineup. But Southern O Gauge locos are rare beasts indeed…in fact, if you’re reading this and think you might want one, best make a beeline to the web shop now, ‘cos they won’t hang around for long!

In other shenanigans, there’s a new four-legged friend at ECT. Some of you may know that Neil’s faithful collie Ladd passed away a few months ago. He was a lovely old gentleman and will be missed by everyone. But bounding into his place comes Jess. Four years old and full of mischief, Jess has already endeared herself to the team. Except perhaps Albert. Because our celebrity mascot tends to look down on sheepdogs as uncouth ruffians and seemed mortified when the new arrival helped herself to his car.

Now, now, Albert; sharing is caring…
