Kit-built Finescale O Gauge SR Q1 No. C26, Southern Black

Notify me when this product is available:

A true cut down, cost saving wartime design, the Bulleid Q1 is instantly recognisable from other classes of British steam locomotive. First introduced in 1942, 40 of these machines were produced to fill the gap in the Southern Railways freight capabilities. The locomotives quickly earned the nicknames 'coffee pots' or 'ugly ducklings' due to their square appearance and lack of running boards. Being the last 0-6-0 design built by a British Railway they became the final development in this classic wheel arrangement built. Classified 5F these locomotives were the most powerful 0-6-0 in Britain.

Presented here is an excellent depiction of the class constructed of brass and metal components.
