Designed by Richard Maunsell, the 'Z Class 0-8-0 Tank locomotive was designed for heavy shunting around the Southern Railway's London yards. In later years a number of them, including No.30953, found their way to the South West and were famed for their banking duties up the short but steep connection from Exeter St Davids to Exeter Central.
This Vulcan Models kit-built depiction is an excellent slow runner.

Condition Description |
Model in excellent overall condition. Hand lining is worn and needs touching out in places, with some of this completed to a fair standard with some wobbles. One 9 on the tank side has not been applied in line with the other numbers. |
