Dapol Finescale O Gauge 'Terrier' A1 No. 55 'Stepney' Improved Engine Green, DCC Sound

Notify me when this product is available:

Built at Brighton works in the 1870s, the 50 members of Stroudley's A1 class of engine found varied work on southern metals and ranged from London's main line termini to the Isle of Wight. Eventually displaced from front-line services to shunting and rural work, some 'Terriers' survived into the 1960s.

This example of Dapol's excellent model possesses its trademark smooth mechanism and is finished in 'improved engine green' – actually a shade of ochre. No. 55 came to fame when the locomotive was selected by a famous well known author to become Stepney from the Bluebell Railway on a journey to the Isle of Sodor...
