WORKSHOP Gauge 1 Live Steam (Scratch/Kit-Built) GWR Saint No. 2999 'Lady of Legend'

1 item left

Unfinished Scratch/Kit-Built

One of the most recent 'new-build' steam locomotives in the UK, no. 2999 'Lady Of Legend' has graced the heritage circuit since her completion in 2019.

Built to a George Jackson Churchward design from 1902, the 'Saints' were revolutionary for the GWR, setting the framework for every other classic 4-6-0 design they would go on to produce.

'Lady Of Legend' was built by using the frames and boiler from GWR Hall class no. 4942 'Maindy Hall' and was constructed by the Great Western Society at Didcot Railway Centre, thus representing a missing link in GWR 4-6-0 designs.

Please note that items sold via The Workshop are not covered by our usual warranty and are intended as project pieces requiring maintenance and/or rectification.
