A modeller for as long as he can remember, Neil’s weathering skills have become legendary in the industry – simply put, he’s the best there is. His unique talent for breathing life into models continually fills us with wonder, and examples of his work can be seen throughout our website.

Neil employs his vast experience together with prototype photos in a meticulous process, the fruits of which are truly individual models. This includes (but is not limited to):

• Body weathering

• Chassis weathering

• Oil marks to axle boxes

• Rust effects to bogies, brakes, wheels, etc.

• Buffer marks and grease

• Steam marks and boiler wear (where appropriate)

• Light weathering to roofs

• Fitting of realistic coal (with overspill)

• Water marks and splatter around valves

Neil is able to weather or number any new or pre-owned O gauge model purchaseddirectly from us.You can add Neil’s weathering to a product by following the instructions below: 

Step 1:Choose the item you’d like weathered or numbered.

Step 2: For weathering, choose the style you’d like, and add notes below.

Step 3: If you’d like numbering or naming, add this with relevant notes.

Step 4: If you’d like your model to portray a prototype photo, you can upload this for Neil to work from.

Step 5: Finally, click ADD TO CART
