Designed by Gresley as a shortened A3, the V2s were put to work on fast freight duties and other mixed traffic turns. 184 V2s where built, and they quickly earned the reputation as "the engines that won the war". Built at Doncaster and Darlington, this particular locomotive No. 4843 was built in 1939 and survived until 1963.
This DJH factory-built model showcases a wonderful rendition of LNER lined apple green livery and features Howes DCC Sound on a Loksound V4 Decoder.
