Thompson's B1s were a successful mixed traffic design that entered service in 1942 and spread to all corners of the LNER network. This example, 'Impala', was constructed in 1943 at Darlington Works and lasted in service until 1967. Our model, from an unknown kit, has been heavily weathered and further benefits from DCC Sound with an Active Drive sound file.
