Thompson's B1s were a successful mixed traffic design that entered service in 1942 and spread to all corners of the LNER network. This example, 'Klipspringer' was constructed in 1944 at Darlington Works and was firstly allocated to Darlington Shed. Lasting 19 years in service, the locomotive was eventually withdrawn and later scrapped from Ayr Shed.
This kit-built depiction of possible DJH origin has been finished to a high standard and is DCC Fitted and has received a weathered finish to a professional standard.
