The NER Class K/Y8 was T.Worsdell's last design, with five being constructed for shunting work at Hull Docks. This example No. 55 was withdrawn into BR departmental stock in 1954 with the other four members being scrapped. Lasting in service until 1956, the locomotive was later cut up for scrap.
This impressive example of the type has been constructed and finished to a professional standard by A. Rowland and Larry Goddard from a North Star Kit.
