Built for use on suburban trains, these coaches replaced earlier 'Toplight' designs and were ahead of their time in possessing steel bodysides. Collett vehicles dominated Swindon's coach production in the early 1930's and were common throughout the network, using a standardised 57ft frame that was also used on corridor stock. This model has been built to a good standard using primarily metal components.
