First introduced in 1881, 300 of these tank locomotives were built for the LNWR to haul slow coal and goods trains. Classified 2F by the LMS these locomotives quickly became underpowered and withdrawals started as early as 1921, with some being put on motor train workings. 64 locomotives passed into BR ownership with one No. 1054 being preserved.
Built from brass this model has been hand lined to an excellent standard.
