The 241 Class 4-8-4 locomotive was one of the most powerful locos to run on European metals. Known as 'Mountains' they were capable of hauling prodigious passenger tarins up to 800 tons at high speed. MTH's superb model captures one of these fine locos in the pre-SNCF livery of EST. MTH's heavyweight model features die-cast construction together with superb levels of detail and an onboard digital/sound system (Proto Sound3) compatible with MTH control systems and standard DCC systems.
