Thompson's B1s were a successful mixed-traffic design; they service in 1942 and spread to all corners of the LNER network. No. 61076 was constructed in 1946 by The North British Locomotive Company. Allocated to Haymarket and St. Margarets sheds, she served until 1965 and was scrapped later that year.
This beautiful model (from a Piercy kit) features the maker's signature heavy cast construction and has an impressive opening smokebox door with working door dart together with excellent tube plate/blast pipe detail. The model has also been fitted with an excellent DCC Sound file (of unknown origin) on a LokSound decoder.
