With the prototype needing little introduction, 'Papyrus' shot to fame when it broke the steam engine world speed record in 1935 when it touched 108mph south of Grantham.
Factory constructed from all brass components this Sancheng/Bachmann Brassworks depiction is in excellent overall condition and renamed from 'Flying Scotsman' to 'Papyrus' by its previous owner.

Condition Description |
Model in excellent overall condition however the transfer lining is age worn and not completed to a high standard in some places with visible overlapping and areas with visible wobble to some lines. There is also some light white paint splatter around the smokebox area and a few blemishes to the models paint finish. 'Papyrus' nameplates have been applied with some visible glue staining |
