With construction dating from the late Victorian period through to the 1950's the Wordsell-designed J72 class can probably claim the title for the longest construction period of any steam locomotive in unchanged form.
The model here is a superb example of the type in BR Black with early crest, constructed to a very high standard and in excellent condition.
