Almost identical to the GWR 1400 class tank locomotives, the 58xx class lacked the capability to haul auto-trains. Built at Swindon in the mid-1930's they were used for light branch-line traffic. None of the 20-strong class were preserved. This model displays the beautiful smooth running we've come to expect from these small Dapol models steam engines; it has been fitted with a Gaugemaster DCC decoder.
