'Blue Peter' was one of 15 Class A2 engines that entered service in 1948 and is the sole survivor of its breed; the loco can be seen hauling main-line charters today, following a lengthy restoration programme.
Built to a very good standard with some excellent transfer lining, the model would benefit from some cosmetic restoration together with attention to its running capabilities as detailed below.

Condition Description |
Model in good overall condition with some front end damage from a possible knock, this requires a solder repair due to the front end running plate now being loose. The cab appears to be reconstructed using glue with some areas not built completely flush. Model is missing its cab front window glazing on both sides of the boiler and the whistle is also not present. There is also some oxidation to the wheels and buffers and the steps and clyinder draincocks are missing from one side. The models running plate is also not straight/flush in places |
