55H Models' Standard Class 5 is a museum-quality scale replica of BR's successful mixed-traffic workhorse. Beautifully constructed from brass, these models feature outstanding levels of detail and suberb running characteristics courtesy of a top-quality Faulhaber coreless motor with helical gearbox.

BR built 172 'Standard 5s' during the 1950s. They roamed north and south hauling everything from unfitted goods to express passenger trains, with many serving until the last days of steam.

'Standard 5's were one of the railway's most versatile engines and as such make an ideal addition to any nationalisation-era layout or collection. Ellis Clark Trains have partnered with 55H Models to offer brand new examples of their finescale masterwork to the O Gauge market.

This example here, has been upgraded with the full in-house works courtesy of Neil Armitage including: Deluxe Weathering, Real Coal, Crew and the smokebox door lamp bracket being moved to an offset position as per the locomotive in the mid to late 1960s.
