Constructed and finished to a high standard by Richard Pogson from an ACME kit, this excellent example of Hughes 'Crab' is in excellent condition and finished as no. 13030.
Introduced from 1926 the LMS 2-6-0 'Crab' was a successful mixed traffic locomotive influenced by both L&Y and Midland Railway designs. Designed by George Hughes no. 13030 was built in 1926 at Crewe and was withdrawn from BR service in 1965.
