Constructed and finished to a high standard by Richard Pogson from an ACME kit, this excellent example of Hughes 'Crab' is in excellent condition and finished as no. 13030 with an excellent weathered finish courtesy of Neil Armitage.
Introduced from 1926 the LMS 2-6-0 'Crab' was a successful mixed traffic locomotive influenced by both L&Y and Midland Railway designs. Designed by George Hughes no. 13030 was built in 1926 at Crewe and was withdrawn from BR service in 1965.
