DJH Custom No. 1 Shop locomotives are notable for their brass boilers and enhanced backhead detail. This striking model of 'Flying Scotsman' is finished in LNER apple green and has been fitted with an excellent unknown DCC sound file on a Zimo decoder with stay alive. The model has also been fitted with a Slater's motor/gearbox which has some running issues as detailed below.

Condition Description |
In very good condition overall. Cosmetic defects include slight pitting to the paint finish on top of the boiler and numerous small paint chips around the edges of the cab doors, running plate and wheel trims. There is also a small amount of warping to to the front of the running plate beneath the smoke box (visible when viewed from certain angles). The model has been fitted with a replacement Slaters motor/gearbox |

The model runs well at most higher speeds but exhibits hesitation and significant motor noise when setting off from a standing start. The gearbox also appears to have a tight spot which is noticeable at lower speeds |
