Introduced from 1923 to the design of Charles Collett, the GWR Castle class was essentially an enlarged Star Class with a larger boiler and extended frames. No. 7026, was part of an early BR batch constructed in 1949. Allocated new to Stafford Road, the locomotive lasted 15 years in service and was later cut up for scrap from Tyseley Shed in 1964.
This brass constructed kit-built depiction has been constructed from a kit of unknown origin and finished in BR Lined Green with a weathered finish.
