This Class C13 has been constructed from a Gladiator brass kit; fitted with an ABC motor/gearbox and weathered in-house by Neil Armitage.
Introduced in 1903, the GCR's Class 9K/C13 was the first suburban tank design from Chief Engineer John Robinson and was very successful. Intended for suburban passenger work, the LNER reclassified them as C13; the last were withdrawn from BR service in 1959.
