This excellent example of a ex-LMS Patriot class has been constructed and decorated to a high standard from a Gladiator models kit. The model has been finished as no. 45511 'Isle of Man' with Early Crests and is in near-mint condition.
Patriots were introduced by the LMS in the early 1930s to operate express passenger services on the West Coast Main Line. Relegated to mixed traffic work following the introduction of diesel traction, they were all withdrawn by 1962.
