Professionally constructed and finished from a Shedmaster Kit, this lovely example of the LSWR's suburban tank of choice has been finished as no. 30128. Featuring beautiful handlining and livery application, the model has received a lightly weathered finish to a high standard.
Introduced in 1897 to the design of Dugald Drummond, a total of 105 locomotives were constructed up until 1911 for use on the LSWR's London Commuter Lines. With the gradual electrification of the Southern Network, the locomotives found themselves being allocated to Branchline workings, particularly on Push-Pull trains. Lasting in service until 1965, two locomotives have since been preserved.
