Built to a professional standard and decorated to a high standard, this weighty kit-built Terrier is in excellent condition and has been constructed from an Ace Products kit.
Built at Brighton works in the 1870s, the 50 members of Stroudley's A1 class of engine found varied work on southern metals and ranged from London's main line termini to the Isle of Wight. Eventually displaced from front-line services to shunting and rural work some 'Terriers' survived into the 1960s.
