The 2P design was the last design to emerge from the Midland Railways School of engineering and was overseen by William Stanier. Built at Derby Works in 1932, these locomotives were built for passenger workings and were an enlarged version of the Midland 1P locomotives. No. 6404 lasted in service until 1959
Constructed from a Gladiator kit the model features largely brass and whitemetal components. It has been finished in LMS Lined Black and is numbered 6404 and professionally weathered in house by Neil Armitage.
