Somewhat of a rarity on the 7mm market, Southern Railway King Arthur 'Merlin' appears here finished in handlined Southern Olive Green Livery from a brass kit of unknown origin.
Designed by Robert Urie and built at Eastleigh Works in 1919, 'Merlin' was part of LSWR's first batch of 'King Arthur' locomotives. It served BR's Southern Region until 1955 and was later scrapped after being involved in a film on the Longmoor Military Railway, where the locomotive was deliberately derailed.

Condition Description |
Model in excellent overall condition and nicely built. Models paintwork has some 'orange peeling' effect to it and the handlining is a little wobbly in a few areas. The cab is also fitted slightly not square and some areas of the loco and tender running plate is not flush with the rest of the model |
