Not famed for their engineering prowess or reliability, the Class 17 'Claytons' came and went in very short order in the late 1960's. Primarily located in the north and Scotland many were to see only five years of service before declining traffic and worsening availability lead to mass withdrawals. Heljan's model, their reference 1751, captures their somewhat non-British outline and our model here, enhanced with DCC Sound, is in overall very good condition.
