The GWR introduced its stylish diesel railcars from 1933. Initial class members featured elegant streamlined bodywork, but from the nineteenth example onwards, this was abandoned in favour of a more angular design. These later railcars also featured steam heating, both for themselves and any trailing vehicles attached.
Heljan's impressive model (item no. 1902) appears here numbered W21W and finished in BR crimson and cream. The model has been fitted with DCC Sound.
